All these times, nothing has changed. I still want to be nothing but number 1

It's only fun when you feel like your lungs are collapsing but your will to go faster just burns strongly.

I cannot believe it took me this long and this much to really let me feel like I'm burning up again. Typical nuaness after a double session week like on trips but it really woke me up today.
To think for those orange flames of passion and determination to burn bright, an equal ember of blue flame have to be present first. I won't, no, I can't forget this even if I wanted to. Let it never leave my conscious mind that I don't carry a burden that is mine alone neither am I merely fulfilling a dream and an ambition that is mine alone. I want to fight for an ideal and for a mantra that I live by, I want to fight for the talentless, for those limited by physical capabilities and those determined and passionate enough to dare to dream despite their shortcomings.
I will show that hardwork and passion cannot be substituted by neither talent nor age
Though ironically, 7 years on, I'm posting such an emotional post on the exact same blog for someone I posted shit about 7 years ago.

When it comes down to it, I want to leave on my own terms and conditions
And I'll leave only after I've become number 1

Are we athletes or are we soldier. Always always thought that it's all about effort but maybe sometimes we are more than that and it's sometimes dependent on more than that. That said, crappy wist test argh

Does it not make you guys happy, when everything falls into place with practice? When everyone just move so fluidly and plays go smoothly and this seemingly telepathic moments click into place? What really is the point for any athlete who don't find joy in improving performance and team play?
Really sets me thinking though, is mere glory enough to satisfy us? Shouldn't improvement, performance and all the joys of sports come hand in hand with glory? I don't think I can ever respect an athlete without passion
So much to learn from these tsukubians. No freaking joke though, these 5-6 days of double training without any tapering in between and with school and normal life going on. Makes it's seriously more tiring than normal training trips where we taper and have actual rest in between. Great recovery of game fitness though, really glad to be playing, recovering and learning
